BIOGRAPHY

Abi Muir is a singer songwriter with distinctive vocals and heartfelt lyrics that immediately hook the listener and captivate her audience. Her love of reading and writing fantasy fiction has shaped her creative lyricism which she delivers with powerful, goosebump-inducing vocals enticing the listener to journey with her; through the wistful, dreaminess of her debut single heebiejeebies, to her powerful, darkly moving, award-winning indie-rock track Stockholm.

Originating from the tiny Isle of Barra in the Western Isles of Scotland, Abi completed school in Cairns graduating with a Cert 3 in Live Production and going on to complete her Cert 3 in Music at Queensland TAFE. The release of her first single Heebiejeebies received over 100,000 streams on Spotify and her following 2 singles were QMA Finalist songs. Receiving a Cairns Regional Council RADF major grant Abi went on to write and record her debut EP, 'To You'. An “intoxicating maelstrom of competing emotions” were delivered, delving deeply into the many facets of love. From doo-wop beats to dreamy pop, it's a cleverly written story of falling in love, losing yourself over love and being trapped by love. culminating in the award winning, intense alt-rock-pop track 'Stockholm'. An emotional rollercoaster of lyrics, with musical richness and drama that will leave you wanting more.

Following a year of song writing, Abi's first single of 2024, Blueprint, is a Mimi Webb inspired song of pure pop indulgence that will make you want to get up and dance like no one is watching. Recording with producer Ghostpops in Tokyo Abi has a string of singles on their way with promises of a debut album to follow, a compilation of  fresh, new original pop from the heart.
